8/11/09 1:15 pm --- Upon returning to the stone, circular area and Samus going her separate way, Snake had been pleasantly surprised to see the path back to Shadow Moses Island open again. Not wanting to stand around and question the random opening and closing in case it decided to close again just to spite him, he had hurried back down the path. Back at Shadow Moses, he had reported what he found. Two days later he was sent back along the path to check out the other pathways. Upon arriving at the circular area…again, he noticed there was a ninth pathway that hadn’t been there before. Curiosity peaking, that was, rather predictably, the path he chose. After coming to the end of the path, however, he didn’t expect to end up inside what appeared to be a clock tower, gears and all. At least he was hidden behind one of the larger gears, since he could hear people talking nearby. Not quite in the mood to explain how he had gotten in here without anyone noticing him and why he sort of looked like he was dressed like a terrorist, he activated his camouflage. There was a quick burst of static, he flickered for a moment, and then he disappeared, unless anyone cared enough to observe the heat-wave-ish shimmer where he stood. He peered around the gear to see who it was and saw…teenagers. In a clock tower. Well, that was…different.

Three days and still no new clues. The trail was growing colder by the second, and at this point Katsuya could only watch in despair as it did so. From the first confrontation of suspect 501 at Seven Sister, feelings of doubt had sprouted. This was a case heavily revolving around supernatural elements, but the police force had no way of dealing with that. Conventional methods would be ultimately useless, but then again, Katsuya had more than just conventional methods. Glancing down at his left hand, the detective clenched it into a fist as he remembered the power it had summoned just days before. The rest of the police may be unable to do anything, but perhaps with his Persona, he might.
Half an hour later, Katsuya arrived at Seven Sisters High School. Misses Amano and Serizawa were attending some sort of event today, so he would be alone for this investigation. Despite the grizzly murder of their principal, students still were attending classes, he noted while walking down the long fourth floor hallway to a nondescript door at the very end. It was beyond this door that Katsuya had fought for his life with two other women against demons -monsters suspect 501 seemed to be able to control-. And although the Principal's office was the official crime scene, it was here that 501 had last been seen after the battle. And though the chances were slim, perhaps there would be some tiny clue. If not, then this investigation would be rather short-lived. Placing his hand on the still-unlocked doorknob, Katsuya hesitated only momentarily before swinging it open.
"Hey!" Looking back at him from inside the clock tower was a small collection of youths. But before one more word could work its way out of his mouth, they flew past him out the door and down the hall, leaving only a stench of cigarette smoke in their wake. For a moment, the Police Officer debated whether to chase after the students. And in the end his Police duty won out. Leaving to door ajar, he began to run down the hall after the students.

Snake had only been in the clock tower for about five minutes when the door opened and an unsurprisingly unfamiliar man walked in. However, he wasn’t there long before the kids took off in a cloud of cigarette smoke, and the man took off after them. Huh. Who knew smoking was that big of a deal?
The door was left open just a bit, and Snake—looking like nothing more than a heat haze (even if it wasn’t warm enough for a heat haze)—crept out after the small group.
He appeared to be in a school, or some such public place. It seemed safe enough, but he stayed invisible, not willing to have shit go down because he was a reckless idiot. Considering he had no idea how to navigate this place, shadowing the small group that had taken off like lightning seemed the only option, so he trailed after them at a safe distance, staying as quiet as he could.
(Lawl, short, sucky post.)
