Description
---
Shadow Moses Island consists of a main harbor, where boxes upon boxes of cargo are stacked in a sort of cube form.
Up the elevator lies the front of the facility itself, with one way to get inside, or three if you're stealthy: The back door, and two air ducts, which lead to the same destination.
That tower has 3 floors: The first one being the tank storage room, 1st bottom floor is where people are the cells, along with the torture room in a room to the left, complete with a new take on the "Electric Chair", while the 2nd bottom floor is the armory.
Past the laser-trapped wall on the first floor is a small snowfield, covered with Claymores, and two surveillance cameras mounted with FA-MAS.
Into the next tower, would be a larger garage type room, which leads to the Nuke Building, which, as the name suggests, is the host of many fragile nuclear warheads.
There are three floors to this building as well: 1st bottom floor is where the Commander's room is being held, with the two only bathrooms in the facility, while the 2nd bottom floor is a gassed room, one of the smaller rooms being Hal "Otacon" Emmerich's laboratory.
Outside of the secret passage behind the bookcase in the Commander's Room leads to a small cavern, one of the two areas where Sniper Wolf's wolves are free to roam.
Out of that room are the many, many flights of stairs of the satellite tower, complete with the demolished satellite on top, due to Liquid's Hind D.
You could either climb down the tower or blast through the frozen door, both leading you to the connecting bridge between the Nuke Building to Communication Tower B.
Just outside of the Nuke Building lies the snowfield. There is a truck, loaded with Chaff Grenades, and several smaller buildings, each loaded with weapons.
Up the north is the room to the Blast Furnace, where going down the stairs would lead you to a fork: One path to the steam room; the other leading to the other, rather bigger elevator.
Down the elevator would bring you another elevator, where using it would lead you to the frozen warehouse, which consists of fragile boxes of rations, stacked in a similar way to the cargo in the harbor.
Out of the frozen warehouse leads to the a small hallway, with 3-4 cameras on each corner of the wall, and an optional stairway
Through the door to the north lies REX's hangar, with sewage beneath the floor, and many small bridges surrounding Metal Gear REX, all connected with ladders. At the end of the trail is the control room, with the option to launch Metal Gear REX.
Outside of the hangar is the parking lot, packed with Jeeps, then a road leading to the front of the facility, and the shore of Shadow Moses Island.
However, due to the time paradox, this shore is directly connected to the Outer Heaven ... when it should not be. Characters from Metal Gear Solid 3 appear in between Shadow Moses and Outer Heaven, without their original home.
