Name: Solid Snake, or David
Fandom: Metal Gear Solid, pre-MGS4
Picture:
Brief History [Don‘t copy from a source]: Dear God. This will be the most complicated thing I will ever type. But, here we go.
He was one of the three sons of Les Enfants Terribles, and received all of the dominant soldier genes from Big Boss, whom he was cloned from. He was trained to be a soldier from a young age, and so he’s very good at his job.
He was eventually sent to Shadow Moses in Alaska to deal with the nuke launching Metal Gear REX and Liquid Snake, his recessive clone. There he met a scientist and otaku named Otacon, whom became a close friend, and Meryl, whom he had a short relationship with.
Two years later, he (using the alias Iroquois Pliskin) and Otacon assisted Raiden against even more terrorists.
Personality [Don‘t copy from a source]: He’s not an extremely open guy, but he’s protective and loyal to those close to him, though he doesn’t actively let people close. He tends to lean towards snark and sarcasm, but he can be blunt as a sledgehammer at the same time. Also, as much as he flirts, he has a few commitment issues and is largely solitary. Despite that, he has more than a bit of a hero complex, and no one is going to die on his watch, if he can help it.
Roleplaying Sample:
This had to be Hell.
No, this had to be worse than Hell. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be watching this.
”Snake! Are you just going to sit by and watch him die?”
Goddamn Liquid. Damn all of this!
“Now! Fire the stinger!”
“Can you really shoot? You’ll kill him, too!”
…Could he? He knew he had to take Liquid down, that much was obvious, but could he let Liquid drag Fox down with him?
And Fox was all but begging for it. Snake didn’t know if that made it better or worse, but it made it that much harder, and he couldn’t even pinpoint why.
He lifted the stinger. Target locked. He aimed and prepared to pull the trigger…
But then he jerked the stinger to the side.
“It’s no good. I can’t do it…”
Where had his backbone gone? He had no choice!
He aimed again, nearly pulled the trigger…
He couldn’t do it.
There was a sickening crunch as Rex stomped down on Fox.
“Die!”
“Fox!”
Before he could really process what he was doing, Snake ran to help, only to come to a halt at the abrupt hail of bullets.
Fox was speaking to him again, and finally, “Snake…farewell.”
”FOX!”
Fox was body was crushed and ground into the metal of the floor.
He had failed. In all of his hesitation, whatever chance he may have had at not killing Fox was lost.
