During Operation: Snake Eater.
[ Brief History ]
The Boss was born in 1922, and is most commonly known for being the founder and leader of the Cobra Unit.
She was 22 when she led the Cobras to victory at the Battle of Normandy, or "D-Day". At the time, she was pregnant with The Sorrow's child. It was on the battlefield that she gave birth, thanks to a caesarian section. She had a son, but the child was taken by a group called the Philosophers, which her father was a member of. The baby's given name was Adamska, though he came to be known as Major Ocelot.
We all know Jack, or "Naked Snake". He lived with her for ten years, as her pupil, and the two created their own fighting style, called CQC, or Close-Quartered Combat. She was virtually forced to defect to the Soviet Union. There, she joined Colonel Volgin's renegade faction, therefore becoming the main reason Operation: Snake Eater came into being. Secretly, she had not actually defected -- she was merely undercover. She knew she was sacrificing her life, as well as the good image that she earned, to benefit her country.
[ Personality ]
The Boss prefers to keep her feelings to herself, and constantly gives people the silent treatment instead of answering their questions. The only thing she seems incapable of doing is disobeying orders. Loyalty to what she has sworn to protect is more important to her than anything else.
[ Roleplaying Sample ]
The silence that had settled over Groznyj Grad was somewhat… unnatural, to say the least. Usually, the base was bustling with soldiers running around, attending to whatever their individual tasks were, whether they were delivering a message, cleaning up, or just patrolling the area. Of course, The Boss always saw them as nothing more than incompetent, bumbling fools who didn’t know how to take being a soldier seriously. Sure, they went about doing what they were told, but did they really understand that it ultimately served a higher purpose? Each soldier is like an ant in a colony – if one of them were to slack off from their job, it could slowly lead to complete destruction of the colony.
She sighed and shook her head, choosing to cast the thought aside rather than have it linger in her mind and ruin the stroll she was taking around the base. With each step she took, the ground beneath her feet made a crumpling sound, as if acknowledging her presence above it. A large gust of wind blew through the area, carrying an array of leaves on its otherwise invisible pathway, and she watched as the detached tree growths swirled up into the air and made a quick spin before heading away from her again. A small smile came onto the woman’s pale lips, though it faded as quickly as it came once she heard a low, cruel voice from inside a nearby building.
The tone was unmistakable: it definitely belonged to Colonel Volgin, and if her hunch was correct, he was more than likely fussing with Major Ocelot as he always did. It seemed to have become a hobby of his, aside from playing around with Tatyana. Once she passed by the open doorway, the voice called out for her sharply, requesting her presence in the room. After discreetly rolling her eyes, she turned towards the building and went inside, already hating whatever events would transpire within its walls.
