Name: Megatron
Where did they come from? [Name the fandom]: Transformers G1 Cartoon. Megatron himself came from Vector Sigma.
History: Frankly, Megatron's history is shrouded in mystery, even moreso than Optimus Prime. Most of this, however, is just Decepticon propaganda made to throw the Autobots off knowing what matters to their leader - other than power, of course. Millions of years ago, the first Transformers, the Primes, guided the galaxy on a path of peace and love. Until one Prime, with rage in his heart, became the Fallen, by killing one of his brothers (Who got better. Anyway...), introducing 'murder' into the memeplex of the Transformers. Murder led to war, and the Autobots and Decepticons formed up, fighting the first Great War that lasted for centuries. Since neither side died of old age, they would fight until the bitter end. But the Autobots learned the key to transformation from the great computer, Vector Sigma, and appeared to be able to win the war. Until one Decepticon rose up and took command himself.
Megatron was as powerful as he was charismatic, bearing a heavy burden: to lead his people through this war. Initially, like the Primes, he believed in limiting the conflict to Cybertron, to avoid the complications that other races would have on their aeons-long conflict. This soon disappeared with the Autobot hoarding of energon. The Decepticons stormed Iacon and began using the Robo-Smasher to convert Autobots into Decepticon slaves - the only target of the Smasher who was not converted was Omega Supreme, who lost much of himself in the process and was left with a burning hatred for the Decepticons, especially his old friends, the Constructicons.
Many years later, Cybertron runs very low on energy, and the Decepticons now see the light in the tunnel: they must conquer other worlds, in the goal of conquering Cybertron. They took a new Star Cruiser, the Nemesis, in hopes of following the Autobot Ark to whatever new world it found. The rest is not history, but legend. This Megatron, however, comes from a time in between 1985 and 2005, nebulous enough to know most Decepticon forces.
With regard to Starscream, here is his own opinion on the subject: "Why? That's what they all asked me. Why him... why Starscream? Why, of all the Decepticons, did I decide to revitalize the one whose record of deceit and betrayal is legend? Because I'm an idiot, that's why!"

Personality: Megatron is a confident and competent commander of 'bots. At least, he was in the days of the Great War. He commanded the war effort that nearly destroyed the Autobots, drove the Junkions away, and even pushed Vector Sigma deep underground. After the incident with the Nemesis and the Ark that left him stranded under a mountain for four million years, some Decepticons (like Starscream) believe that either the damage he recieved during the crash, or the rebuilding under the care of Teletraan 1 may have damaged his personality, logic, and intelligence circuits. He is extremely violent, both to Autobots and to his own people. His entire goal has become summed up in a single word: pillage. Rather than actively supporting Cybertron, he reaches out to conquer all other worlds in the Alicuna, where he can steal Energon from the native populations. He delights in random acts of destruction such as the Decepticons have never seen before, and will destroy even those who serve him faithfully if he so chooses. Some of his followers wish to use him as a weapon, others see him as getting in the way. Only a very rare few actually wish to believe that Megatron can be rebuilt to his former glory. There's only two problems. First, he's still a genius-level intelligence, even among the Transformers with knowledge of Vector Sigma's secrets, as he was created directly by the computer. Second, he is still one of the most powerful non-Combiner bots, easily the equal (if not the better) of a Prime - regardless of who that Prime may be!
Or...is his fall just an act, lying in wait for someone to attempt to betray his command, so he can destroy them?

And there will be more.
Abilities:
- Transforms into a modified Walther P38 of a scale to be held by other Decepticons.
- Possesses great knowledge, spanning millions of years, before Earth was formed.
- Ruthless in combat, an expert tactician and strategist.
- Possesses both a Fusion Cannon and an Energon Mace, for close and far-range combat.
- Oh, and did I mention he's at least 35 feet tall? No? Oh, how about the fact that he's pure metal, and acts like it? Hrm. Okay, well. Don't meddle in the affairs of Deceptions, for you are crunchy and taste good with Energon.
Weaknesses:
- Starscream
- He's sometimes a little overzealous in his belief in "Peace through tyranny", and will attack, even kill, those who are his allies.
- Occasionally a little too willing to rest on former laurels.
- Everything in the Personality.
