Graves lead Megatron down several streets. They traveled for a good 15-20 mintues before they reached the road that lead to the outskirts of the city, where the powerplant was located.
"Just follow the cracked paved road to the station of power. The energy you seek is there," Graves sang to Megatron.

Mag had been silent and calm through Samus' rush, and she didn't waver now. Pushing her skirt underneath her, she took a seat on the alley floor, glacier eyes still on the girl. "I have never seen such a thing before, has it come here to settle a score?

Samus paused in her rush and looked at Mag silently, shaking her head to basically say 'I have no idea.'
"I have encountered robots from my land, but never had they destroyed entire cities with their own hand! We need to somehow stop this thing ... And save your city from this destruction ring!" At the last verse, Samus's singing voice gained a harsher tone. She could hear Megatron the entire way here ... this ... ugh. She could still hear him. How could she defeat something like that ...?
"If nothing else, I have my armor ... It's my one real partner! It will put a dent in this robot ... Of this, I have no doubt!"

Megatron's response was an almost musical whirring sound as his optics switched from Graves to the power plant. Yes, this was Earth, most certainly. Which meant that he had to act quickly, before Optimus arrived to defend these pitiful humans. His voice took on a hissing sound now as he moved faster towards the plant, outpacing the Graverobber easily. "Yessss...."
He would have what he desired, for he was Megatron!

This post is the first of my NPCs, the Combaticons.Blast Off set down near the alleyway and let the others off, and they transformed into their alt-modes relatively quickly under Onslaught's orders. Onslaught himself remained in his robotic form, and started gesticulating carefully, but emphatically. He was singing, but horrifically off-key and completely without a rhymescheme, as his vocoder fought fpr control. "Blast Off! I want recon, target assessments, and coordinates of Lord Megatron! Vortex, as soon as Blast Off locates Megatron, I want you to go and announce our presence - and our intention to serve as his allies, do I make myself clear? Swindle, Brawl, you're with me. We are here to establish a base of Decepticon power, and I will not have that compromised by anything!."
The others nodded, singing in unison. "We hear and obey!" Even Blast Off knew better than to argue with Onslaught's plan as he went off into the sky, relaying back information. Brawl moved forwards, his treads shredding the street as he plowed nose-first into the corner of a building, causing it to fall over and shatter into a cloud of dust.
The Combaticons had landed.

Graves sighed as he watched Megatron go off towards the plant.
"So it seems the King has fallen, and a new one has taken his place. What will become of us with this new ruler. Were we better of in the days of old or these new nights. Only time will tell exactly what we all shall read in our new epilogue." Graves sang quietly to himself.

The situation wasn't looking good. There wasn't really a thing she could suggest, but for. ..
"Enemies everywhere, but allies are not here. From off-world they came, spreading such disdain. Fight fire with fire, no need for ire. If a new world he craves, we all need to cave. Let a boundary be open, through it searching and hoping for allies?
Strange, the idea had sounded better in her head than it did in song. Taking a deep breath, she tried with effort of will to add more. "No one here. .. can .. fight ... that. ... ... Other world's inhabitants. ... .... are our best... bet. ... or subterfuge.... better. ... yet." It was almost physically painful, and the lilt remained, but her point was across. She took a deep breath to relieve the spinning her head had begun at the beginning of the speech.

As much as she wanted to smack Mag for suggesting surrender, Samus knew that she was right, to a point. She couldn't do something alone, but it was weighing heavily on her consciousness that people were dying because of this thing. She wanted to be prepared. But summoning armor would do jack shit right now.
The huntress sighed and anxiously brushed her fingers through her hair, trying to form a response to the song. But she heard Mag's strained attempts at speaking, and had half a mind to steady her. Did speaking really hurt that much here? No wonder they sang instead ... a frown crossed her face, and she gave a sympathetic glance over towards the one person she could get along with.
The response came naturally; "I suppose so ... But it doesn't seem fair for us to sink so low! What could we do until then? Precious time, we spend--!!" Her singing was cut off when she felt a rumble beneath her feet. Almost instinctively, she ducked into a nearby alleyway, gesturing Mag to follow with one gloved hand.
She couldn't make out what they were saying--it was too garbled--but it sounded like Megatron. There was more of them?!

Megatron walked calmly to the power plant, the thin smile back on his face, his veneer of decency having returned. When things were going his way, and he had nothing to destroy, some of his older personality showed up, not necessarily evil, but very dedicated to power, at the exclusion of all else. He claimed it was for Cybertron's sake, and perhaps it was. But in general, it was for the glory of Megatron.
A moment later, Megatron looked up when he heard the steady 'thwup-thwup-thwup' of Vortex's main rotor, turning and directing his fusion cannon as the Combaticon landed, raising his hands. He was twitchy, as usual, but he sang clearly, though an obvious note of insanity invaded his voice.
"Lord Megatron, greatest of the Deceptions, Onslaught, commander of the Combaticons, has ordered us to aid you in your quest, for the glory of Decepticon conquest."
Megatron nodded with a smile. "I hear your words, Combaticon Vortex, and I accept your aid. Now step aside a smidge and give Onslaught my order to begin construction of a Space Bridge!"
"All is for naught without Cybertron!"
With that, he turned back towards the power plant, confident that Vortex would obey.

Vortex spun off into the air, rejoining the Combaticons and relaying Megatron's order. So with that, Blast Off came down and the five bots all transformed into robot mode, hulking 10-foot tall monsters that simply ripped apart buidings as they began the construction of something that would never have looked at home here - a Space Bridge portal. It was not going to be a fast or an easy process, and even a human could have screwed it up, given some time.

Graves waited where he stood. He knew that Megatron would most likely want more questions answered, and since survival was Grave's top priority until he found a way to get out of this mess, he was going to be Megatron's tour guide.
It was then he heard the loud crashing of buildings. He spun around to see even more of those robots, detroying part of the city. It almost seemed like they were clearing it for something.
"Giant robots come falling from the sky. Falling from the sky? Falling from the sky! Bringing with them destruction and chaos. Heh heh. What shall become of us little human beings? Heh heh. All I know is I will be left standing, unlike the GeneCo building. GeneCo Building."

The robotic creature had allies. Instead of a look of horror, Mag was now smiling. In fact, she seemed almost excited. This was what they needed, if they could cause in-fighting, the energy would be wasted, both GeneCo's and the power the robots ran on, she supposed. And the chaos would mean ties would break, fights would break out, and perhaps the creatures would even leave. It was a matter of damage still, yes, but damage they couldn't control, reckless damage. Thinking back on Luigi Largo, she nodded decisively. There was always a way to make in-fighting. Turning to Samus, she said nothing, waiting to hear if the girl had come up with a plan to implement.

Samus kept one eye on the robots, and one eye on Mag. Why the hell was she smiling? If she had her ship, she might've been able to damage to Megatron, but she didn't--no, wouldn't--have enough missiles to take out this thing, too.
But more than anything, she wanted to know why Mag was smiling. Her attention averted from the robots to the singer, and she forced out the words;
"Why do you smile? What, did you want this?" She stopped herself, and then looked at the robot. They appeared to be clearing out the entire damn city. Her fist clenched tightly.
"Do you have anything electrical? They might be taken out by short circuits--it's only practical. I mean something large enough to harm a thing that size we need to at least attempt to take them by surprise!" After all, her suit would electrify if it got into hazardous situations. What made these robots any different?
"If you do, we might be able to buy some time ... Evacuate the city, just to avoid one of many binds!"

Since all Megatron's going to do is recharge, I'll skip him this time in favor of the Combaticons. The five robots looked around, their scanners looking for electrical and computer-based technology. It was hard to find around here, but they needed the parts to create the Space Bridge. At this moment, they only a threat to those that got in their way and no one else, keeping to themselves (mostly silent), and completely ignoring the goings-on of those down below, like Samus.

Graves continued to watch the new robots while staying where he was, out of the way. He knew he was stuck here until Megatron was done, knowing that he would have to continue to be the robots tour guide. He sighed. It was boring standing in one spot for so long.
